Support Federal Bid-Listing Legislation
|
Ask your Congressman to co-sponsor H.R. 1778.
In an effort to improve the quality of federal construction, Rep. Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y., introduced the Construction Quality Assurance Act of 2011 (H.R. 1778) to combat the practice of bid shopping.
The bill would institute bid listing, strengthening the “integrity to the low-bid selection system for both prime contractors and major subcontractors.” Bid listing requires construction companies that bid on federal agency solicitations over $1 million to list each subcontractor they plan to use for $100,000 or more of the work.
Again, ask your Congressman to co-sponsor H.R. 1778.
